Ministries

At Faith, we encourage members to find an area they are passionate about and to try out new ideas for ministry.  Some of the ministries that currently exist are:

 

Choir: Meets most Sundays at 8:00 A.M. to prepare music for the worship service. 

• Singers of all ages and abilities are welcome as we make a joyful noise to the Lord!

Bell Choir: Meets most Sundays at 8:30 A.M.  Children and adults are welcome!

 

Outreach Committee: Meets the second Wednesday of the month at 9:00 A.M.

• Organizes gatherings for both members and nonmembers to enjoy together, including musical outings, trips to nearby community theaters, dinners out, and more.

Stewardship Committee: Meets the second Tuesday from May to October at 9:00 A.M. 

• Designates monthly missions that we support as a congregation both financially and prayerfully.  Also organizes the annual estimate of giving and promotes stewardship as a way of life.

Worship Committee: Meets seasonally according to the church seasonal calendar. 

• Discusses topics related to creating meaningful and relevant worship, including music, themes, and the worship space.

Book Club: Meets the third Thursday of every month at member's homes at 1:30 P.M.

 

Bible Study: Meets every Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at church for insightful discussion.

 

Kids' Activities: One activity is scheduled each month for kids ages 5 and up.  Most activities include games, a service-learning element, and a snack.  All activities include lots of laughter and fun!

 

WELCA: Meets the second Thursday of every month at 1:30 P.M. at church for discussion, snack, and fellowship.  All ladies of the church are welcome.

 

Reading Outloud: A readers' theater type of group that shares its stories with residents of area group homes.  Participants choose what to read and where to present based on their personal interests and availability.

 

Two on Tuesday (Ukulele Group): Meets every Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. at the church.  Any and all ukulele players are welcome.

 

Newcomers and their ideas are always welcome at any of these groups!
